From a Carlow lab computer, click on the FInd Articles link *** available on the library’s home page. Select one of databases listed and search for your topic. The database will give you a list of articles on your topic. Many of the articles will be available as full text - if this is the case you can just print and you're done! If not, proceed to Step Two below.

***If you are not in a Cranberry or Greensburg lab use the Off Campus Access page instead to connect to the periodical indexes and follow the login instructions listed there.

If your article was not available as full text within the index you will need to search the Journal Title List for the journal or magazine title. The Journal Title List indicates the years available as well as the format (print, online) of the publication.

If the article is listed in the Journal Title List as available in an online format you can access the index database indicated in the Journal Title List and print the article.

If an article is listed in the Journal Title List as available in the print format, you can request the article by filling out the Material Request Form (PDF) and faxing the form to Grace Library (412-578-6242). Requests can also be made by calling the Grace Library Circulation Desk (412-578-6139) or emailing gracelibrary@carlow.edu. Students are restricted to two article requests per day and this service is available to Cranberry and Greensburg students only. Photocopies of articles will be mailed via the US Postal system. They cannot be faxed.

If the article was not listed in the Journal Title List you can utilize Interlibrary Loan and have the article delivered from another library in the United States. More information can be obtained by contacting the Grace Library Circulation Desk (412-578-6139).
